The Chinese government attaches great importance to the high-quality implementation of RCEP and the construction of China-Asean Free Trade Area 3.0. The effective implementation of the RCEP has provided new opportunities for trade and investment cooperation between China and ASEAN, and the policy dividends have been continuously released. China and ASEAN are vigorously advancing the China-Asean Free Trade Area 3.0 negotiations, committed to enhancing the level of opening-up in economic and trade areas, and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in emerging areas such as digital economy, green economy and supply chain connectivity.
Li Fei said that the East Expo is an important carrier to serve the high-quality construction of the free trade area. Since its establishment 20 years ago, the Expo has carried out a variety of activities on the construction of the free trade area, including holding forums, carrying out enterprise training, setting up exhibition areas, and promoting the negotiation and docking of enterprises from all sides, so as to carry out broader, broader and deeper economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN countries. Li Fei introduced that the expo will focus on the forefront of economy and trade and issues of concern to the business communities of both sides, and the forum will cover many emerging areas such as digital economy, green economy and supply chain connectivity, which is highly consistent with the key areas of China-Asean Free Trade Area 3.0 negotiation, and will help enhance mutual understanding and recognition between China and ASEAN in emerging areas. This East Expo will also highlight the “four comprehensive upgrades”, focusing on the RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation Business Summit Forum, which is to comprehensively upgrade the high-level dialogue mechanism, comprehensively upgrade the economic and trade effectiveness, comprehensively upgrade the “Nanning Channel”, comprehensively upgrade the never-ending cooperation platform, and organize representatives from government, industry and universities in the region.
